Growing Room Christian Academy at 7572 Kayne Boulevard, Columbus, Georgia.

Our first military move ever was to Columbus. We were coming from one of the best school districts in NJ and I didn't think I would find anyone better than the teacher my daughter had there at her pre-school. Well, luckily I did my research. Although my daughter will not be able to begin Kindergarten here (as she would have in NJ) due to the age cut-offs, I have no doubt that she will be highly prepared for first grade when we do move back. In fact her teacher Mrs. Valerie made an assessment and has put her with the appropriate small group in the class because she knew she would be bored doing the work that the younger 4 yr olds are doing. Mrs. Valerie is one the best teachers I have EVER seen and the Growing Room should be using her as the model when they interview for teaching positions. The compassion and the love she shows for the children is beyond anything that I could ever ask for in a teacher. Ms. Ashley, who is also in the classroom with her, is just as warm and caring. The staff is also super-friendly and helpful and they make it such a joy to go there in the morning. My daughter begs to leave early in the morning so she can get there ASAP and now wants to stay longer and I would keep here there all day, but unfortunately they nap/rest from 12-2:30 and that's just too long of a break for my daughter. I must say the tuition is way cheaper than any preschool I've enrolled her in so it definitely would be worth it. You cannot go wrong here...at least in the 4yr old classroom. We are so lucky, but also soooo sad that we will not be able to stay there next year.
